Resumen:

An educative project is presented; its origin, development and applications have involved more than 40 years of teaching experience. The project is based on an analytical model, that takes into account all the variables in the development of "Integral Performance Capacities", involving skills, attitudes, values and critical thinking, in addition to the acquisition of knowledge, in an explicit, systematic and integrated procedure, that has been subject to a process of continuous updates and improvements throughout the semesters.It allows and guides the participation of students in a course, leading them to a better and fast performance; their school lives are naturally and literally facilitated. It has been a very useful tool in the planning, development and evaluation of engineering courses.The main reason to present this investigation is the complete believe in its potential to get a "True Education ", considering that a general misunderstanding has been observed between education and skills development. Also, that "The best legacy we can leave to actual and future generations, is a True Education".Other results included in this paper are about:1The integral preparation of students to participate in Petrobowls.2The Decalogue of the Good Student of Petroleum Engineering, which can be applied almost directly to any engineering career, including theory and practice.3The design of two proposals to the General Directorate of University and Intercultural Higher Education, of the SEP: "Optimal Development of Innovation and Creativity Capacities"and "Significant Development of Skills, Attitudes, Values and Critical Thinking".4The advantages of developing Integral Performance Capacities, with respect to the educational modality by Competencies. © 2023 IEEE.
