Resumen:

This chapter focuses on the context of the partner with a diabetic member and how this condition has repercussions on the patient's partner. This is because many times, the couple with the disease takes the role of caregiver, forcing them to face the challenges that this entails generating stress, while showing some of their personal resources such as altruism, showing care and unconditional support to his sick partner, and affectivity with signs of affection, closeness, and physical contact. All this experience in the couple can lead you to begin to experience health problems or affect your vitality.
