Resumen:
The article shows the design and implementation of an artificial vision
system capable to obtain in real time the position of an object (working
piece or an end-effector of a robot manipulator) within an enclosed
environment like a manufacturing cell using graphical symbols ``wall
marks'' recognition to obtain location. The system comprises a digital
camera with pan-tilte movements attached to the object as the
non-contact sensor to get its location; the object might be a working
piece, the end effector of a robot-arm or any other mobil object subject
of a current manufacturing application. The system obtains the location
and position of the camera by way of performing an observation around
the walls, the system finds `wall marks'' which indicates where the
object is and which its position.
