Resumen:

The synthesis of coatings based on hydroxyapatites (HA) and glass modified hydroxyapatite targets by pulsed laser deposition, was presented. It was observed that coatings produced from HA targets keep their crystallinity through all their thickness, while there is a loss of crystallinity towards the surface of the HA+1.5G coatings. On immersion in SBF for three days, the coatings produced from HA targets suffered a loss of crystallinity near the surfaces, while the crystallinity of the coatings produced from HA+1.5G targets increased. It was also observed that addition of 1.5wt% of CaO-P2O5 glasses to HA thin coatings produced by pulsed laser deposition leads to a significant structural change of the coating surface.
