Resumen:

In this paper a novel methodology for power system mode oscillation identification using local bus measurements is presented. The methodology is based on the concept of dynamic phasor model which is essentially designed to estimate dynamic parameters. The dynamic phasor model is fundamentally different from traditional static phasor model algorithms that only deal with static parameters and are not able to follow phasor changes that take place in a sampled window. The mode estimation is accomplished using a novel strategy based on the Phase-Locked Loop Taylor-Fourier Filters (PLL-TFF), which provides, besides the dynamic phasor estimation, phase tracking that allows directly identifying damping and frequency modes from time domain signals.
