Resumen:

In the daily optimal operation planning of electric power systems, the operation constraints associated with the primary energy infrastructures are considered through the operation limits of the dispatchable electric generators, which are set below their rated power. On the other hand, the analysis of the operation conditions in different primary energy systems is performed individually for each system considering no interdependencies with other energy systems. In this paper, an integral formulation that explicitly considers the existing interdependencies between natural gas and electricity infrastructures is proposed to assess the short-term unit commitment of electric generators. In this context, the dynamic behavior of the gas flowing in pipelines is taken into account based on a two-port transient model. The suitability of the proposed approach is illustrated by numerical simulations performed on a benchmark multi-energy system. © 2016 IEEE.
