Resumen:

We use the light scattered by density fluctuations in a supersonic jet to obtain various characteristics like the local speed flow speed, the shock pattern and the speed and direction of propagation of acoastic waves inside and outside the flow. With our technique we expect to measure two lands of density fluctuations, those that propagate at the speed of sound and those that are random and cam be converted by the flow. However, we detect a low frequency motion that seems to be due to a nonlinear interaction near the shocks. Copyright © 2006 by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Inc.
